“Rosh Hodesh” is the head of each new month, literally, the first day of the month. Tradition teaches that God gave Rosh Hodesh as a mini holiday to women. This notion was embraced by Jewish women a generation ago, who began to create Rosh Hodesh groups—groups of women who meet monthly in celebration of women’s spirituality. TBT has a number of thriving Rosh Hodesh groups; they are generally composed of 10-12 women. If you are interested in Rosh Hodesh, please be in touch with Rabbi Lisa.
