Marion Levin-Welch has been part of Temple Beth Torah in the capacity of a Torah School teacher for 32 years and part of the Preschool for 20 years. Acting as director of the Temple’s NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children)-accredited Preschool since 2003, she has created innovative programming with the creation of the afternoon enrichment classes, the development of the art & science room, garden and outdoor education programs, a Toddler Twos program and a program for one year olds. The Preschool is involved in community outreach helping homeless families, the Red Cross and Food Share. Under Marion’s able and creative leadership, Children’s World continues to be one of the most popular and successful pre-schools in this region.
Marion has her B.A. in Liberal Arts with the emphasis on Social Welfare and her Master’s Degree from the Educational Psychology Department at California State University at Northridge with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education. Her educational background also covers the areas of Special Needs, Autism Spectrum, Sensory Issues and Language Challenges. Marion’s work in the field of Early Childhood Education is a reflection of her great love for children and for actively growing children’s inquisitive minds and compassionate hearts.
