Madrichim – Teen Teaching Assistants

TBT_Madrichim_2018

The madrichim program actively engages teens in Jewish learning and living as they assist with multiple aspects of Torah School including t’filah (services), Hebrew, classroom activities, all school holiday celebrations, family education days and more.  As the teens teach the younger students, they re-learn with the material for themselves.  In this paid position, the teens have fun and deepen their own connection with Judaism.

The madrichim add energy and excitement to Torah School. The enthusiasm of the madrichim creates an atmosphere where the younger students want to learn in new and different ways.

The madrichim also serve as role models for the younger students and they encourage them to stay connected to Judaism throughout their teen years. The madrichim program is a highlight of Torah School for the younger students, teachers, the teens and their parents. This program is made possible by a generous grant from the Jewish Federation of Ventura County.
