The Preschool’s philosophy is to provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum of excellence in secular and Judaic Studies while encouraging inquisitive minds, guiding moral and spiritual growth, and help the children to develop a sense of empowerment in a nurturing environment. We encourage and nurture a partnership with our parents in their child’s growth and experience while with us.

Our quality program is based on the knowledge that all children are different, learn in different ways and grow and mature at different rates.  We provide a warm, loving environment for a child’s first separation from parents. We also help build strong character, self-esteem, mutual respect, cooperation, and problem solving and socialization skills. Our goal is to get your child ready and open to cross over to Kindergarten in a confident manner.

Our stimulating, developmentally appropriate program includes hands-on learning experiences that use the child’s natural learning abilities and interests to further his/her development.  The child actively participates in ongoing projects that interest them. They have the opportunity to express their thoughts, ideas and feelings, while engaged in using their five senses in a great variety of curricular areas.

Staff

Our teachers are warm, caring, knowledgeable and experienced early childhood educators.  All staff members are active in national, state and local professional early childhood associations. They meet all the state requirements as well as regularly participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities to keep abreast of educational change and developmental studies. Our teachers are certified in C.P.R. and first aid.

Judaica Studies

Our Judaica program is integrated into the schedule each day.  The children learn and experience Jewish holidays, have exposure to the Hebrew language, start to learn Torah stories and begin to learn the language of Mitzvah (How to become a “Mensch”). Each Friday we celebrate with a Shabbat Star family by lighting the Shabbat candles, saying the blessings and doing Hamotzi. Our families meet with the Rabbi(s) and the Cantor on a regular basis as we celebrate and rejoice in our heritage. We send home holiday celebration packets to help your family continue the celebration at home as we share the Jewish holidays together.
